Everyone has an opinion about the protests. I side with OWS and all of us who find ourselves counted among the “99%”. Corruption and greed run rampant through the rank and file of the elite, inclusive of individuals, corporations and the government. Not everyone is evil. However, the “Gordon Gekkos” of this world are so engrossed in worship at the Church of the Almighty Dollar that they have lost sight (if, indeed, they ever had it) of the fact that money is a tool, not an entity unto itself, and that power they wield is conditional. It is dependent upon the faith of the society that bestows it. The system, as a whole, is broken, bloody and dangling over a cliff. Band-aids won’t fix it. It needs a complete bodily makeover.
